Flasking Services
There are many flasking services to which hobbyists may send capsules of tropical epiphytic orchids for processing and germination.
Most of these services are not set up for germination of temperate terrestrial orchids. However, some specialized flasking services may be used.
Myers Conservatory
Troy Meyers offers an extensive service that will flask pods of any kind of orchid, including temperate terrestrial orchids.
Meyers Conservatory is very popular among many serious orchid hobbyists. The site is worth checking out since many excess seedlings of desirable
seedlings are often available.
Kelsey Creek Labs
The owners of Kelsey Creek Labs have been tissue culturing plants for several decades. They serve both hobbyist and professional orchid growers.

At Gardens at Post Hill we offer flasking services for temperate terrestrial orchids as well as tropical orchids. If you are interested in our flasking
service, please email us by pressing the link to our name, immediately above, or by sending an email message to webmaster@gardensatposthill.com. We will forward packing
information to you as well as a contract. We will attempt to germinate your seed at no charge. We will prepare two or more mother flasks. Seedlings in one
mother flask will be ours. The other we will make available to you ready to reflask for $25.00.
Alternatively, you may request that we make daughter flasks.
Each daughter flask will be prepared with 25 protocorms from your mother flask. The price for one daughter flask is $30.00, payable prior to our preparing
it. If you desire larger numbers of seedlings, and if your pod produces many seedlings, we can deflask your seedlings and make them available for $1.00
each.
For those who have made a new hybrid or for other reasons do not wish to share, we may agree to flask your seed if it is an interesting genus or we
have other interest in it. Please contact us to discuss.
To date, we have successfully germinated Bletilla, Calopogon, Cattleya, Coryanthes, Cymbidium, Cypripedium, Epidendrum,
Paphiopedilum, Pecteilis,
Phalaenopsis, and Spiranthes.
